1. TOP CADASTRAL SURVEYS

This is concerned with mapping and collection of data for the purposes of design. The data got from here is used by Engineers to come up with building plans, computation for the volumes where cut and fill is required etc. Also used to ascertain exactly where the features are on the maps in relation to the ground.

Top cadastral surveys, profiling, precise leveling, earthworks setting out and volume surveys are done with the help of Leica total station and state of the art-software are used to ensure accurate and visually appealing maps are produced. The purpose of top cadastral survey is to gather survey data about the natural and man-made features of the land as well as its elevations.

2. GENERAL BOUNDARY SURVEYS/ MUTATION

Mutation of property is the recording in the revenue records the transfer of the title of a property from one person to another. This is for the purpose of payment of property taxes and it does not mean a legal title to the person to whom the property has been muted.
The change in title ownership may occur due to a number of reasons like death of the original owner and subsequent transfer of the ownership due to inheritance or succession. In the event of a leased property, the ownership can be transferred through an irrevocable power of attorney.

The existence of a sale deed, conversion premium and irrevocable power of attorney is required for the conversion of a leasehold property to a freehold property. Once it becomes a freehold property, the ownership title can be transferred or mutated. Mutation becomes essential for deciding the tax liability when the property ownership gets changed.

This Specialization, offered in partnership with ArcGIS Geoland Surveys will teach the skills you need to successfully use GIS software in a professional setting.

You will learn how to analyze your spatial data, use cartography techniques to communicate your results in maps, and collaborate with peers in GIS and GIS-dependent fields. In the final Capstone Project, you will create a professional-quality GIS portfolio piece using a combination of data identification and collection, analytical map development, and spatial analysis techniques.

Past experience on GIS is important our training takes 3 weeks only under expertise observation.

4. FIXED BOUNDARY SURVEYS/ CADASTRAL SURVEYS

These are mathematical boundaries done to high accuracy of 3cm or less used in the issuance of leasehold titles.

5. ENGINEERING SURVEYS

This is an important disciplinary that serves construction projects. It constitutes the following areas;
• Road construction
• Sewer line route survey
• Water ways
• Power line route surveying
