Why survey?

Land survey ensures your protection in any kind of real estate transaction. There are many estates which have some kind of problem: fence is outside of the property line, property is placed on public road, title deed outlining property line is not correct, property has no ingress or egress to the home. Most of the problems can be corrected after the survey i.e. if a fence is over the property line, it must be replaced, if road is over property line, it must be cut and re-poured. Property problems can be easily corrected in the initial stage of property development but might be expensive after development of real estate. Land survey relatively is less costly than resolving of land disputes issues. Therefore every buyer should obtain a survey before a real estate transaction is completed.

One of the primary roles of the land surveyor is to define the boundary of real property on the ground. That boundary has already been established and described in legal documents and official plans and maps prepared by land officers, engineers, and other land surveyors. The corners of the property will either have been monumented by a prior surveyor, or monumented by the surveyor hired to perform a survey of a new boundary which has been agreed upon by adjoining land owners.

Land surveying is a complex task which require use and interpretation of survey maps and plans, scales, enlargement and reduction of plans,  chain surveying - equipment, surveying procedures, plotting, negotiating obstacles, measurement of existing structures and buildings, setting out for embankment, cuttings, drains, levelling equipment, reducing and plotting, electronic distance measurements, production of survey drawings and plans.
